Step into an enchanted evening where dinner and theatre intertwine. Theatre Albany presents its first-ever Shakespeare Dinner Theatre, bringing A Midsummer Night’s Dream to life in an immersive experience where the action unfolds among the tables and between courses. Actors move through the room as lovers, fairies, and overconfident actors, turning the dining space into a magical forest filled with romance, mischief, and laughter.

In this beloved comedy, the fairy rulers Oberon and Titania spark chaos among a group of young lovers, while the mischievous Puck ensures that nothing goes according to plan. Expect playful comedy, intimate storytelling, and a magical night where Shakespeare unfolds just inches away—launching what we hope will become a brand-new Theatre Albany tradition.

May 1 and 2 ONLY: Doors open at 6:30, Dinner begins service as people arrive, show begins at 7:00.

Our Shakespeare Dinner Theatre is a continuation of our fundraisers focused primarily on renovating and updating our Black Box theatre upstairs at Theatre Albany. Many remember this space fondly as smaller shows, often focused on youth theatre, took place in this versatile and intimate setting. Theatre Albany is truly dedicated to updating our spaces to continue bringing high quality theatre to all of southwest Georgia. With amazing patrons like you, and your generous donations, we will be able to continue this mission for another 92 years!

PLEASE NOTE As this event will be hosted in the Black Box theatre upstairs, patrons must be able to make it up two flights of stairs, with assistance from our lovely Theatre Albany volunteers. One goal of our upcoming fundraisers is to help make our entire historically preserved building accessible by all.
